Lisburn Credit Union Case Study

LCU is the local credit union for the Lisburn area, they offer a range of financial services to their members including a range of saving and loan products. LCU's brand is based on its status as a community institution that cares deeply about the welfare of its members and the wider Lisburn community. As a social enterprise, LCU does not operate under a profit motive, but rather to create the most good in the community they serve.

Our goals

Our goal with LCU was to establish their social media channels as a conduit for connecting with the membership and for the recruitment of new members. Our second goal was to use the media to spread the word about any newsworthy stories happening within LCU.

Our strategy

We started by establishing a clear aesthetic for LCU's social media as there was no visual consistency in the graphics that had been previously used on the page. We then built out their social media plan based on a model week approach, as we have found that this approach is best for generating the regular content necessary for training the social media algorithms. When this was accomplished we put together LCU's first press campaign which focused on the launch of their new interest rate loan products. After this campaign, we folded its products into LCU's social channels

The results

Since we took over running their social media channels LCU has seen a 23% improvement in their reach, a 128% increase in their content interactions and a 250% increase in the click-through to their website. This success has contributed to the development of LCU's membership base with February 2024 seeing the highest uptake of loan products in LCU's time in operation.

We also achieved media placement for LCU to promote their new interest rate loan products:

Clare’s Creature Comforts case study

Our goals

CCC is a small animal only home boarding service based on the outskirts of Lisburn. CCC has a carefully cultivated reputation for experienced, knowledgeable, and dedicated care that sets it apart from its more recently established competitors.

Our goal with this client was to build a dedicated social media following to act as the base of a strong returning client base. The client also wished to establish a business website to act as a legitimiser for the business and to attract new clients.

Our strategy

Using a combined communications approach we created an integrated strategy drawing on elements of digital marketing, public relations, and traditional marketing. We started by establishing the brand pillars that were going to be used on the client's social media, we then took these values to form the centre of the narrative for a press campaign. As part of this press campaign, we provided the client with training in advance of live media appearances.

The results of that press campaign were then folded back into the client’s social media and physical marketing materials, to increase the client’s legitimacy with their audience. These narratives and brand pillars then informed the content and structure of the client’s business website, which we designed, wrote, and launched from scratch.

The results

During the time that we were running the client's social media, we grew their following by 80%, we also achieved several press placements, for example: https://www.belfastlive.co.uk/news/northern-ireland/kilkeel-woman-rescuing-rehabilitating-bunnies-27188044

Our strategy resulted in a professional and clear website that brought together CCC's brand pillars and streamlined the client's booking processes. The client's website is available here:

These results have led to the establishment of a stable and growing customer base for the client, to the point where they have had to expand their operation several times to meet demand. The client now feels able to run their own social media, with ad-hoc support from Wild Rabbit if required.
